For the past three years, Cloud for Good has launched a State of Salesforce survey where we ask clients, prospect, friends and any nonprofit or higher education institution on Salesforce how they are currently using the platform, how they plan to improve their Salesforce experience over the next year and the trends and goals we should watch out for.

This year we have noticed the value in creating two reports, one for the nonprofit sector and another for educational institutions. Having two distinct reports will provide you with more relevant trends and targeted forecasting you need to make the biggest impactful.

If you haven’t already, you can take our State of Salesforce Survey within the nonprofit sector here and within the education sector here.

What You Will Gain

When you complete this survey, so are many other organizations and schools just like you! They may use Salesforce in the same way as you or perhaps they are solving one of your obstacles with the help of the platform. Perhaps you are exploring adding Communities to your instance yet are curious what others are doing. You will learn all this and much more.

The organizations completing the survey cover all sectors, from Health & Wellness to K-12 Schools, Human Services and Faith-based. Budgets and employees vary, yet everyone has the same underlying desire, to use Salesforce in the most successful way possible allowing for each and every one of you to have more time to focus on what matters most, your mission.

Notable Trends from the 2018-2019 Report

In last years report, which you can download here, there were many trends that not only influenced Salesforce users but also influenced where the platform invested time, made enhancements and further developed. 81% of organizations said Salesforce makes it easier from them to do their work and more than half said they can attribute their ability to communicate more effectively and service their constituents better to their use of Salesforce.

Outside of users seeing the benefit of Salesforce, we also learned that how they are using it is shifting. Last year, 64% of respondents had a dedicated Salesforce Administrator, a 12% increase from the year before. The number of organizations using Pardot has doubled since 2016 and is replacing tools like MailChimp. 57% say the innovation potential for Artificial Intelligence, which we have seen explode over the past year with the new releases with Einstein Bots, Vision and Voice.

Complete the Survey Today

Although we can predict some of the trends based on what we have seen already through our clients this year, we are as eager as ever to learn directly from you! To thank you, we have 2 $100 Amazon gift cards to raffle off, one for each survey. The State of Salesforce survey would not be possible without your support.

You can take our State of Salesforce Survey within the nonprofit sector here and within the education sector here. Once we have compiled all responses, we will publish the results and share with everyone so together we can all #DoMoreGood with the help of the Salesforce platform.
