The Director will be responsible for setting and executing Cloud for Good’s sales strategy for our consulting services in the Nonprofit sector. Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with the VP of Sales to set and execute a customer acquisition strategy, and generate annual growth in bookings for our cross-cloud Salesforce services business in the Nonprofit vertical 
  • Be accountable for all aspects of the Cloud for Good Sales Nonprofit Team, including sales quotas and goals, sales pipelines, sales processes, and sales team enablement

Cloud for Good is seeking experienced technology professionals to lead Salesforce.com implementation projects with nonprofit organizations and higher education institutions. Successful candidates will be highly experienced in deploying Salesforce solutions and ideally have nonprofit or higher education industry experience.

To be successful on client projects, Senior Cloud Consultants will have strong Salesforce configuration knowledge across a variety of Clouds and/or functionalities, as well as one or more demonstrated areas of expertise. They will also have strong consulting skills, such as project and time management and collaboration. Because most of the work of the Senior Cloud Consultant is client-facing, communication skills and a genuine interest in helping people is very important. The ability to collaborate with peers and clients while building consensus is also critical for success. Finally, some Senior Cloud Consultants will be primarily focused on Salesforce declarative and/or technical work, while others are primarily focused on the functional aspects of client projects. Depending on the Senior Cloud Consultant’s primary area, they should have a demonstrated ability to configure Salesforce according to best practices (for declarative consultants) and/or a demonstrated ability to manage project teams, risks, timelines, and budgets (for functional consultants). 

Location: Virtual: Home-based office in the US or Canada

Qualifications and Education Requirements 

  • A minimum of 3 Salesforce certifications including the Salesforce.com administrator certification and at least one consulting certification (certifications in multiple Clouds preferred)
  • Strong Salesforce configuration knowledge​
  • Expert-level skills/knowledge in a few functional, declarative, or technical areas, and is also comfortable across other areas of Salesforce​
  • Understanding of common business processes for nonprofits, such as major gift processing, moves management, and volunteer hour tracking 
  • Understanding of common business processes for higher education, such as executive education program management, student retention, recruitment and admissions, and advancement 
  • Experience consulting on Salesforce implementations (minimum 3 years of experience preferred; agile methodology experience preferred)
  • Strong consulting skills, including project and time management, communication, and teamwork/collaboration
  • Declarative: Demonstrated success in designing and configuring complex solutions
  • Functional: Demonstrated success in leading a project larger than $250k
  • Scrum certification, or relevant experience, is preferred
  • Proven track record of continuously improving organizations
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education/experience required
