Job Description: 

  • The Solutions Architect (SA) should have extensive knowledge of Salesforce.com Sales, Service, Community, Nonprofit, and Education Clouds and will be responsible for successfully creating custom applications using Force.com and integrating Salesforce.com with other systems. 
  • In this capacity, the SA will be an expert in Force.com system design for nonprofit and education use cases. Typical projects may include custom architectures built on top of the NPSP or EDA, Process Builder, Visual flow, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, Communities, applications from the AppExchange and other tools that extend the Force.com platform.  
  • The SA will provide technical guidance to the development of Salesforce.com applications to support business and product strategies, serving as the technical lead for implementation design. 
  • Must be able to lead technical requirements gathering sessions, oversee and approve creation and maintenance of application and system documentation used in design, testing or programming efforts, including ERDs, system landscapes, and data flow diagrams.  
  • The SA must be comfortable working with large data volumes (LDV) and be able to make recommendations for handling LDV both on and off the Salesforce.com platform.

The Special Projects Lead should have a proven track record of leading and executing internal projects from vision-setting through completion across a variety of disciplines. Managed Services Consultants are experienced technology professionals who lead Salesforce.com support projects with a variety of nonprofit organizations. Specialists are highly experienced with the Salesforce nonprofit solution suite, industry best practices and associated 3rd party applications. Managed Services Consultants should be able to quickly resolve urgent issues while proactively work with clients to encourage system adoption and utilization.

Managed Services Consultants will have strong project management skills and the ability to juggle a number of projects at once. Because most of the work is client-facing, communication skills and a genuine interest in helping people are very important. The ability to collaborate with peers and clients, while building consensus is also critical for success.

Location: Virtual: Home-based office in the US or Canada

Travel: Maximum 10%

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Have and maintain Salesforce.com administrator certification (ADM-201 and above)
  • Familiarity working with nonprofit organizations and/or educational institutions
  • Salesforce nonprofit administration experience (2 years preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education/experience required.
  • Proven track record of continuously improving organizations
  • Strong time management & communication skills
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Comfort working in a Virtual Environment

Main Responsibilities

  • Resolve client service issues and skillfully manage complex client service problems.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in assigned areas and utilize that expertise effectively to help clients.
  • Oversee and manage the resolution of critical issues, ensuring prompt and complete resolution of technical challenges and business issues.
  • Complete routine maintenance for client portfolio
  • Meet established Service Level Agreements by performing tasks in a timely and efficient manner
