Responsibilities

  • Manages a team of professional services staff, providing coaching and professional development through periodic 1:1 and team meetings.
  • Participates in the performance management process through goal setting and performance reviews for staff under their responsibility
  • Participates in consulting projects as a senior resource (Engagement Manager, Project Manager).  Maintains a billable quota of 10-20%
  • Supports the resource planning, cross-company visibility, and profitability model for professional services through direct project management and for monitoring of projects under their team’s responsibility

  • Serves as a public face for Cloud for Good. You may be asked to assist in marketing activities, such as writing blogs, participating in digital and in-person events and writing customer success stories.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 6+ years experience in client services, and/or consulting services.
  • 3+ years experience managing Salesforce implementations or services engagements in a consultative model.
  • Minimum 3 years managing customer deployment and/or professional services engagements in a consultative model.
  • Experience in Agile Delivery Methodology
  • Familiarity and experience with Salesforce Education Data Architecture (EDA)
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing professional services best practices.
  • Prior experience managing staff in a project or professional services environment.
  • Must show a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Job Description: 

  • The Solutions Architect (SA) should have extensive knowledge of Salesforce.com Sales, Service, Community, Nonprofit, and Education Clouds and will be responsible for successfully creating custom applications using Force.com and integrating Salesforce.com with other systems. 
  • In this capacity, the SA will be an expert in Force.com system design for nonprofit and education use cases. Typical projects may include custom architectures built on top of the NPSP or EDA, Process Builder, Visual flow, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, Communities, applications from the AppExchange and other tools that extend the Force.com platform.  
  • The SA will provide technical guidance to the development of Salesforce.com applications to support business and product strategies, serving as the technical lead for implementation design. 
  • Must be able to lead technical requirements gathering sessions, oversee and approve creation and maintenance of application and system documentation used in design, testing or programming efforts, including ERDs, system landscapes, and data flow diagrams.  
  • The SA must be comfortable working with large data volumes (LDV) and be able to make recommendations for handling LDV both on and off the Salesforce.com platform.  
  • The SA will guide the environment management plan and release strategies for projects, validating that the correct development environments, change controls, and deployment plans are in place. These plans may include source control and continuous integration set-up. 
  • The Solutions Architect will look for synergies between the various SaaS product offerings in terms of application and infrastructure and will offer guidance on best practices and efficiencies in utilization. 
  • The Solutions Architect will also work with Account Executives in a Sales Engineering function to appropriately scope project proposals with appropriate estimates for level of effort to deliver solutions and present a vision to prospects of possible solutions and outcomes. 
  • The SA may oversee or review large data migrations. 
  • Must be willing and available to provide colleagues with one-off and ongoing technical assistance as needed

 

Required Skills: 

  • Salesforce certifications (Admin, Platform Developer I) required. Salesforce Architect certifications (or component Designer certifications) preferred.  
  • Minimum of three years technical implementation experience, excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously 
  • Solid experience in Data Modeling concepts and tools, including database experience with SOQL, SQL, and/or Oracle
