Salesforce.com and virtualization giant VMware are partnering to launch VMforce. This partnership will allow more than 2 million Java developers to build and deploy enterprise apps in the cloud. This is revolutionary but what are the implications for end-users?
Salesforce.com end users and system administrators will probably not be affected directly by this partnership because most of us have never touched code. However, the indirect implications are huge! This means that we will soon see new levels of innovation in our cloud applications. Salesforce partners will be able to develop and host more applications (at a lower cost) by leveraging Java through VMforce.
Furthermore, by migrating your legacy Java apps to VMforce you can scale them up and bring more security and reliability to your organization.
