SAE International (SAE) is a global association of over 128,000 engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive, and commercial vehicle industries. Founded in 1905, SAE has long been established as the leader in connecting and educating professionals to enable safe, clean, and accessible mobility solutions.
SAE has partnered with Cloud for Good for many years on several projects, including migrating from Raiser’s Edge to Salesforce, implementing Salesforce CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote Software), and leveraging Managed Services to provide continued support for the technology. Across these projects, SAE Marketing and Sales teams had managed the suite of Salesforce solutions, but an internal shift eventually passed the reigns over to the SAE IT department.
Accelerated Staffing Solutions
SAE needed to quickly build a team that could support IT in leveraging the Salesforce system while also finding an administrator solely dedicated to the overall health of the org. More specifically, the system administrator would be responsible for creating a standard set of data imports, fields, profiles, roles, etc., building reports and dashboards, and establishing standard operating procedures to onboard new affiliates into Salesforce.
With so many high-priority responsibilities on the would-be system administrator’s plate, time was of the essence in SAE’s search to avoid any dips in productivity.
Talent for Good is a program comprised of apprentices undergoing targeted training in order to gain the experience needed to leverage Salesforce technology for organizations like SAE. An established track record of success partnering with Cloud for Good led SAE to inquire about Talent for Good as a way to fulfill these Salesforce needs.
The Power of Partnership
As time was limited and internal needs were heightened, SAE partnered once again with Cloud for Good to welcome in a pre-vetted, trained, and fast-tracked resource to join the internal team. Soon thereafter, a Talent for Good Salesforce Analyst, who was now Salesforce-certified following completion of the Talent for Good training program, joined SAE to fill the vacant system administrator position.
In addition to Salesforce certification, Talent for Good also allowed the Analyst to become onboarded on CPQ to directly address SAE International’s unique Salesforce configuration and specific needs. The ability to provide Talent for Good apprentices with support scaled to unique talent needs is yet another advantage of the program made available to both apprentices and their end clients.
“We saved months that would have been spent looking for the right person and instead filled the open Salesforce Admin position immediately with someone ready to hit the ground running and help us make a difference,” says Jodie Mohnkern, Strategic Marketing Manager, Database Management at SAE International. “Talent for Good is a true difference maker for any organization experiencing hiring challenges.”
The Talent for Good Analyst is now an integral part of the team responsible for SAE’s Salesforce success. In leveraging Talent for Good, SAE brought in a Salesforce resource quickly, reducing budgeting, HR, and recruiting efforts while simultaneously onboarding the Analyst with the sense of urgency necessary to fill the immediate need. The search for a dedicated system administrator that could have taken up significant time and resources was efficiently completed through the streamlined Talent for Good program.
