On November 18, Cloud for Good attended the Salesforce World Tour in NYC and had the opportunity to meet with hundreds of local nonprofits utilizing Salesforce to better meet their missions.
The Hanover Chili Cookoff may look like just another festival or fair but at its core is a group of extremely dedicated volunteers who organize an outstanding event and give about $50,000 a year to local charities. This year, with Cloud for Good’s VTO policy, Emily had a bit more to give to this event.

Cloud for Good had the opportunity to send two of our team members to participate in the second ever Nonprofit Starter Pack Sprint (#NPSPsprint). A room full of people gathered from all over the USA and Canada for two days with one common purpose – to volunteer their skills and experience to make the Nonprofit Starter Pack (NPSP) more accessible and more effective for nonprofit organizations all over the world.

Donating to a charity is a great way to ensure that their mission is accomplished, but there is something so much more rewarding about being able to volunteer your time, and sometimes sweat, to a cause that is near and dear to your heart. As our lives become increasingly busier as we take on careers, family and hobbies, it can be hard to find a time that works for you and an organization to volunteer your time. Depending on the areas that your chosen organization serves, weekends may not be an available option. Lucky for me, Cloud For Good recognizes this and allows time off from work for employees to volunteer in their communities.
