I’ve spoken previously about how accessing, upskilling, and retaining experienced Salesforce talent and navigating the competitive, cost-prohibitive landscape for Salesforce talent acquisition are among the common challenges that many organizations face. In that same discussion, I also spoke about the solution that Cloud for Good has developed utilizing a Talent as a Service (TaaS) staffing strategy to solve organizations’ challenges in hiring Salesforce talent and truly transform the way they find, hire, and retain Salesforce staff: the Talent for Good program.
Since its inception in 2021, we’ve provided clients in the nonprofit and education spaces with pre-vetted, certified Salesforce System Administrators and Business Analysts who are contract-to-hire ready and have helped transform their organizations. Now, we are expanding the Talent for Good program to organizations in the Public Sector space leveraging the Salesforce platform. Here’s how Public Sector Salesforce customers can benefit from the Talent for Good program.
Tailored Training and Continuous Support
The Talent for Good hiring, recruitment, and training process involves understanding what an organization’s specific business needs are and tailoring our onboarding and training accordingly. Our training program includes making sure every candidate has industry-specific Salesforce certifications and possesses proven, hands-on work experience before joining a team. This ensures that they are equipped to meet your organization’s unique challenges. By receiving continuous support and mentorship from Cloud for Good, apprentices further enhance their growth and integration into an organization’s team.
Reduce Hiring Costs and Risks
Hiring can be costly and time consuming, but Talent for Good alleviates the financial and logistical burdens of organizations’ recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention efforts. Cloud for Good assumes and handles these responsibilities (hiring, salary, benefits, training, ongoing support, etc.), which significantly lowers an organization’s overall hiring costs. The only financial investment your organization is responsible for is a Talent for Good flat rate charge. This approach not only fills immediate gaps but also builds a sustainable pipeline of Salesforce talent for the future. Our apprentices commit to a year-long contract, fostering loyalty and retention. In addition, there is no conversion fee for our clients who decide to hire a Talent for Good apprentice into their organization full-time after their contract period ends.

Join Forces with Current Industry Experts
The Talent for Good program partners with universities and workforce development programs, ensuring a steady stream of eager, skilled, and diverse apprentices with top talent. From our Nonprofit and Higher Education clients, we’ve been successful in placing Talent for Good apprentices who have targeted experience and training in those career fields and can speak that industry’s language fluently, allowing them to align with their placement organization’s business and organizational values. Now, we can deliver the same methodology and success for organizations in the Public Sector.
“For years we have seen higher education institutions and nonprofit organizations struggle to recruit Salesforce talent,” says our Talent for Good Program Director Susan Wright. “We at Cloud for Good take great pride in our ability to attract, train, and engrain diverse candidates into the Salesforce ecosystem. Talent for Good allows us to better provide our clients with access to specifically trained, Salesforce-certified system admins ready to make an immediate impact in the space, and our successes in placing Talent for Good candidates in the higher education and nonprofit industries positions us to be just as successful in expanding the program to the Public Sector.”

Recognized By the U.S. Department of Labor
Talent for Good was recognized as a Nationally Registered Apprenticeship Program by the U.S. Department of Labor in 2022 and is the first apprenticeship in the Salesforce ecosystem to have this honor.
Registered Apprenticeships are proven models, validated by the U.S. Department of Labor to enable and energize more employers to create a path to a skilled career. Several quality standards set by the U.S. Department of Labor, such as the number of training hours, projected salary, access to benefits, and coverage of certification costs for apprentices, are required for an apprenticeship program to receive a national recognition credential. The Talent for Good apprenticeship program underwent and completed a rigorous evaluation of its recruiting, training, and placement processes to be eligible to receive national recognition, and fully exceeded and met all required standards.
