The holiday season is upon us and in the shadow of a new decade, I’ve had an opportunity to reflect on what has been a truly amazing 2019. Back in June, I embarked on a new journey with Cloud for Good to lead its global sales organization, having spent 7 years prior at Salesforce.org. The choice to join Cloud for Good at this point in my career just felt right. Here, I am able to continue my passion and focus with Nonprofit and Higher Education organizations, while helping them fully leverage the Salesforce platform to transform the way they serve their constituents. Through this transformation, lives are changed and the ability to “do well and do good” is made equally available to everyone. That, in itself, is powerful and truly motivating. However, in these last 7 months, I’ve seen something more.
While we’ve celebrated record-breaking revenue growth and over-achieved on our business goals this year, I’m by far proudest of our customer-first mentality. Cloud for Good is known for its tremendous company culture, where our “Goodies” constantly take care of one another, volunteer in our communities, and make this a truly great place to work. What has been humbling is how fervently every member of our organization focuses on delivering and maintaining customer success. At Cloud for Good, there is no more important value than the success of our customers, and that makes me excited to come to work every day.
Cloud for Good is continuing its growth and investment in the Nonprofit and Higher Education sectors and are excited to mirror the continued focus Salesforce has contributed to these lines of business.
In addition to expanding the Nonprofit and Higher Education Clouds, Salesforce also donates 10 Enterprise Edition CRM Lightning subscriptions and deep discounts on additional subscriptions, products and services from Salesforce and, of course, free resources and training modules on the Power of Us Hub and Trailhead.
Because Cloud for Good works within the Higher Education and Nonprofit sectors, many of our clients take advantage of these programs and are creating tremendous value. Here are just a few examples of our customers who benefit from Salesforce’s generosity:
Trees Atlanta:
Since its beginnings, Trees Atlanta’s primary goals have been to replace trees lost to development, conserve existing trees, protect green space areas, and educate the community’s residents and workers regarding the many benefits of trees. Trees Atlanta is now one of the most widely known and respected non-profits across Metro Atlanta and a highly regarded community steward of our urban environment. Check out this webinar to learn why they chose Salesforce and how they are using it to further their mission.
Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary (AMBS):
AMBS’s home base is in south-central Elkhart, Indiana. They provide a dynamic environment for a diverse, globally-connected community. The small size provides a perfect context for building close, personal connections among students in residence on campus as well as those around the world. They nurture the whole Christian learner, providing excellent academics, practice-based learning and deep spiritual formation. They have recently migrated from Raiser’s Edge to Salesforce to provide remote access to their employees, manage their campaigns, events, marketing, complex reporting, segmentation, importing data through Batch Gift Entry as well as donor and alumni relations.
Catholic Schools Center of Excellence:
The mission at the Catholic Schools Center of Excellence (CSCOE) is to enhance excellence and increase enrollment in their 79 preschool-8th grade Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis in Minnesota. They do this by sharing groundbreaking ideas, sound business practices, proven strategies, and financial resources to help meet each schools’ individual goals. One of these sound business processes was gifting Salesforce to their schools. Read more about how they rolled out Salesforce and the benefits they are realizing in their customer success story.
I want to take a moment to sit back and be in awe of the good that surrounds us, not just during the holiday season but every day. My wish for you is that you are able to share the cheer of the season, impact your communities and spend time with families and friends during this joyous time of the year. From our Cloud for Good family to yours, Happy Holidays and a Cheerful New Year.
