Cloud for Good Launches Fourth Annual State of Salesforce Survey

For the past three years, Cloud for Good has launched a State of Salesforce survey where we ask clients, prospect, friends and any nonprofit or higher education institution on Salesforce how they are currently using the platform, how they plan to improve their Salesforce experience over the next year and the trends and goals we should watch out for.

This year we have noticed the value in creating two reports, one for the nonprofit sector and another for educational institutions. Having two distinct reports will provide you with more relevant trends and targeted forecasting you need to make the biggest impactful.

The organizations completing the survey cover all sectors, from Health & Wellness to K-12 Schools, Human Services and Faith-based. Budgets and employees vary, yet everyone has the same underlying desire, to use Salesforce in the most successful way possible allowing for each and every one of you to have more time to focus on what matters most, your mission.

Notable Trends from the 2018-2019 Report

In last years report, which you can download here, there were many trends that not only influenced Salesforce users but also influenced where the platform invested time, made enhancements and further developed. 81% of organizations said Salesforce makes it easier from them to do their work and more than half said they can attribute their ability to communicate more effectively and service their constituents better to their use of Salesforce.

Outside of users seeing the benefit of Salesforce, we also learned that how they are using it is shifting. Last year, 64% of respondents had a dedicated Salesforce Administrator, a 12% increase from the year before. The number of organizations using Pardot has doubled since 2016 and is replacing tools like MailChimp. 57% say the innovation potential for Artificial Intelligence, which we have seen explode over the past year with the new releases with Einstein Bots, Vision and Voice.
