Talent for Good

Cloud for Good has launched the first large-scale talent apprenticeship program in partnership with Achieve Partners. This program allows Cloud for Good’s clients to hire newly-trained Salesforce talent (i.e., developers, administrators) after they’ve had the opportunity to try out the new talent on Cloud for Good projects. Research suggests that the Salesforce ecosystem will generate an additional 4.9 million jobs in the U.S. by 2024, creating an urgent need for workers not only trained in Salesforce but also ready-for-hire based on tangible work experience.

Please note: Talent for Good is not actively hiring for the Analyst Position at this time; please follow our Twitter Account to learn when the next Apprentice Cohort will be open.

The Salesforce Economy: Net-New Business Revenue and Jobs from Using Salesforce Cloud, Year-End 2018 to Year-End 2024

With the growth of the Salesforce ecosystem, you won’t be surprised to learn that demand for Salesforce talent has also skyrocketed. But few employers are interested in hiring a candidate who’s just completed a training program. They’re looking for relevant work experience. Indeed, a report by Mason Frank showed most candidates don’t find that Trailhead badges increase their chances of gaining future employment. It’s experience that matters most of all.

So how do we close the skills gap in the Salesforce ecosystem?

Talent for Good will allow us to bring new talent into the Salesforce ecosystem.  These  apprentices will undergo an immersive training program and, upon completion, will be embedded into Cloud for Good projects for the remainder of their 2-year apprenticeship, during which they will receive ongoing mentorship and training. After projects go live, Cloud for Good clients will be able to hire the apprentices that have been working for them, perhaps to support this specific internal Salesforce instance, or perhaps in another Salesforce role.

Talent for Good's Mission

Interested in talent for good?

“The Salesforce talent gap is massive and growing. Salesforce has done a fantastic job providing training material through its Trailhead, Pathfinder, and Talent Alliance programs. But too few job seekers are taking advantage of this training and even fewer employers are hiring new Salesforce developers or administrators without relevant work experience. Achieve’s investment will allow Cloud for Good to launch the first scaled apprenticeship program for Salesforce, which we’re calling Talent for Good.”
