The spring season brings some of my favorite things – long walks with my dogs, beaming sunshine, blossoming flowers, and, of course, Salesforce’s annual Education Summit!
This year is extra special as we will all be able to gather in person for the first time in three years. Hosted at the Omni Hotel in Dallas, Texas, April 10-12, the Education Summit is the premier event to network with institutions at all different stages of their technology journeys, from considering Salesforce as a CRM to an institution taking full advantage of the Student 360. So, what can we expect from this year’s event?
Keynotes
This year’s Education Summit features an extensive lineup of inspirational speakers, headlined by two high-impact keynote sessions outlined below.
A New Day for Education: Together We Can Make Every Journey Epic
In this keynote, you’ll be hearing from George Mason University and the University of East Anglia to hear how they built a unified approach to lifelong learning, and have impacted the experience of their students, staff, and education stakeholders.
Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders Today
Joined by McDonald’s, Indiana University, Economic Mobility Systems, and the Dallas Mavericks, Salesforce is diving into the strategies to move young people from education to employment.
Summit Awards
Recognizing the community is a key staple of the Education Summit experience and represents an important opportunity to spotlight some of the greatest innovations the education community has to offer. If you haven’t already, take a look at the Education Summit Awards voting page for a look at what the exceptional trailblazers are doing.
May we suggest voting for some of our partners, including:
Jordan Sites – Community Champion
Jordan Sites is the Senior Director of Advancement Project Management and Support for Indiana University Advancement. Having worked for the IU Foundation and IU Alumni Association for over ten years, Jordan has continued to lead innovation in technology at the institution. He and his team’s focus on supporting those who raise funds and engage constituents led him to spearhead one of the first Commerce Cloud implementations in education – in partnership with Cloud for Good. He is no stranger to sharing these innovations within the community as well, having spoken at Dreamforce, Education Summit, and many additional ad hoc Salesforce events. He brings project knowledge, open communication, and an incredible sense of humor to every conversation.
University of Vermont – Excellence in Institutional Efficiency
The University of Vermont’s financial services team is utilizing Salesforce’s Service Cloud to increase efficiency and make data-back decisions. The solution enables the team to manage inbound cases while holistically improving their student-facing business process. Together, Cloud for Good and UVM have built a solution that puts the student experience at the forefront, with the integration of both email and Cisco telephony for a full picture of requests, as well as Banner for student and parent information.
Huge congratulations to all institutions nominated!
