Cloud for Good and Louisiana State University Online & Continuing Education (LSU OCE) have partnered on several Salesforce projects designed to connect LSU campuses and increase institutional efficiency. Beginning with an org migration and implementation of Education Data Architecture (EDA) followed by an implementation of Marketing Cloud Intelligence (formerly Datorama), LSU OCE’s Salesforce footprint has expanded exponentially since initially engaging Cloud for Good.
As the University’s technology suite has expanded, so too has the need to grow a team of Salesforce-trained professionals capable of supporting the solutions. The promotion of seasoned Salesforce administrators had taken place over time, but eventually, the institution found that nurturing Salesforce talent from within was no longer sufficient in accommodating the growing need.
Filling Gaps with Talent for Good
Talent for Good was viewed as a high-value resource for LSU OCE, and the trust built over several successful Salesforce implementations with Cloud for Good made the program all the more appealing.
Backfilling for coverage quickly became a priority as more and more Salesforce solutions were implemented. Promotion from within, growing internal teams, and teaching established staff new skills to manage Salesforce had worked to a degree, but the need for external assistance soon revealed itself.
Building Brighter Futures
LSU OCE, specifically, was looking for Salesforce talent capable of handling responsibilities, such as resolving duplicates, managing users, building reports, dashboards, and flows, responding to cases, collecting user requirements, and monitoring user adoption of Salesforce Lightning.
Due in large part to the work history and shared relationship between LSU OCE and Cloud for Good, key technology stakeholders at the institution viewed Talent for Good as a natural fit to accommodate these needs.
On the impact Talent for Good has had on LSU OCE, Director of Business Technology Brian Davis says, “Thanks to the Talent for Good program, our institution has been able to hire a skilled Salesforce Admin, who has strengthened our technical team, supported our Continuing Education line of business, and instilled a new level of confidence in our ability to drive impact with our partners.”
