December 15, 2021 [Asheville, NC] – Cloud for Good, a consulting firm delivering Salesforce solutions to higher education and nonprofit clients, has announced the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) as their latest partner in the Talent for Good apprenticeship program. With this new partnership, CCRI joins Pepperdine, the University of North Texas, and Dallas College opening doors for new and recent graduates as they look to launch careers in the Salesforce ecosystem. This is the first such partnership with a community college in the Northeast.
Talent for Good was created to help fill the gap caused by Covid’s acceleration of digital transformation and a surplus of unfilled jobs, over 10 million, millions of which fall within rapidly growing tech sectors. Across the economy, demand for qualified Salesforce talent far exceeds the available supply of ready-to-work Salesforce candidates.
This partnership seeks to fill as many Salesforce jobs as possible through Talent for Good, an apprenticeship program allowing Cloud for Good clients to hire newly trained Salesforce talent following an opportunity to try out new talent directly during Cloud for Good implementation projects.
Cloud for Good is partnering with CCRI to recruit new and recent CCRI graduates for the apprenticeship program. All CCRI graduates from all majors are welcome to apply, and no previous Salesforce skills or experience is required. Accepted applicants will be hired by Cloud for Good and paid as apprentices from the start of the 12-week training program. After completing training, apprentices will join Cloud for Good project teams serving higher education and nonprofit institutions across the US.
Cloud for Good Founder and CEO Tal Frankfurt remarked on the impact CCRI will have on the Talent for Good program by saying, “The Community College of Rhode Island has proven itself to be an incredible leader in New England education for nearly sixty years. Their standing as the largest community college in New England will provide a unique opportunity for many promising students to become part of the Talent for Good apprenticeship pathway to jobs in the Salesforce ecosystem. With innovative institutions like CCRI joining Talent for Good, I know we can narrow the available talent gap and provide bright futures for both graduates and Cloud for Good clients alike.”
CCRI President Meghan Hughes stated, “We are proud to be the first community college in the Northeast to partner with Cloud for Good. This partnership affirms what we’ve long known about the talent of community college students. The apprenticeship program will apply the critical knowledge our students learn in the classroom to real-world experience in the field of cloud computing services to prepare students for high-quality careers. The Community College of Rhode Island’s partnership with Cloud for Good is poised to open so many doors for our students as they set out to forge their career paths, and we are delighted to be launching this program.”
