Hundreds of Nonprofits Attended Salesforce World Tour in NYC

On Wednesday November 18, several members of the Cloud for Good team and I made our way to the Jacob Javits Center to attend the Salesforce World Tour in NYC. We had the opportunity to meet many individuals from over 800 nonprofits in attendance at the event, speak with current and prospective clients, attend sessions, listen to keynotes, and present to those in attendance.
Our Founder and CEO, Tal Frankfurt, presented at the Admin Zone about questions and ideas to consider when choosing a Salesforce consultant. Since choosing a consultant can be challenging, Tal discussed some tips on what to prepare and how to choose the right consultant for your project needs. Nik Panter, our Vice President of Services, also spoke to an audience in the Admin Zone about how nonprofits can get started with Salesforce once they receive their donated (free) licenses.

A nonprofit specific breakout session, The Road to Becoming a Connected Nonprofit, was held to give current and future Salesforce nonprofit users the ability to learn best practices and ideas on how to manage an entire organization in Salesforce. Fundraising and donor management does not have to be the only department utilizing the Salesforce platform. Volunteer management, program management, operations, and many more options were explored in this engaging session. Bringing all departments in an organization under the Salesforce umbrella will improve processes and unite all parties to focus on the mission.

Breakout sessions around Marketing Cloud, Pardot, New Features for Salesforce Admins, Data Management, and Building Apps were also highly attended sessions by the nonprofit sector. Integrating Salesforce with other applications can improve an organization’s impact on the communities it serves. Using marketing automation to reach constituents while documenting all communications within the Salesforce platform creates a complete view of campaigns and allows focus to be placed on those campaigns that generate more awareness and funds.

Following the World Tour, Cloud for Good sponsored a Happy Hour in conjunction with the NYC Nonprofit User Group. Dozens of nonprofit executives and staffers attended this event and had the opportunity meet one another, the Cloud for Good team, and representatives from Salesforce.org. Attendees enjoyed complimentary cocktails and appetizers all while discussing their experiences utilizing Salesforce to better meet their missions.
