System Administrator in the USA or Canada

Cloud for Good is seeking a System Administrator to help grow the Information Technology department within the organization. The System Administrator will be responsible for administering and managing Cloud for Good’s internal technology systems. This role will report to the IT Lead. They will develop, manage, and support our internal systems to support the growth and scaling of business priorities, objectives, and security requirements. Finally, this role will assist in the overall system security for Cloud for Good.

Location: Virtual: Home-based office in the US or Canada

Work Authorization: Citizens or Permanent Residents of USA or Canada. Cannot Provide Visa Sponsorship

Travel: Maximum 10%

Main Responsibilities

  • Build Cloud for Good’s System Administration Function
    • Assess and document current IT systems and infrastructure.
      • Analyze and support IT infrastructure and systems performance to maintain productivity levels, implement updates, and support new systems or infrastructure as needed
      • Identify gaps and technology needs and make recommendations to support CFG’s growth and security posture
    • Develop and manage IT systems documentation and processes
    • Maintain and continually improve CFG’s IT systems
      • Investigate / partner with service providers to promptly service tickets
      • Support and research cost-effective software tools for the employee base
      • Partner with Cloud for Good’s Technology Services team and other business functions to optimize CFG’s internal tech stack and supports
    • Act as escalation point for internal support issues or needs
    • Implement company-wide technology updates and hold sessions to train employees about new features
    • Explore new technology advancements and work with the IT Lead to implement next-generation tools to replace legacy systems where appropriate
    • Implement and manage authentication across systems with a security focused approach
    • Develop and support automation workflows for licensing, access, onboarding, etc
    • Manage and administer the following systems
      • O365, SharePoint, Jira, and Zoom

 

Qualifications + Education Requirements

Information Technology Experience and Skills

  • 3+ years as a System Administrator or equivalent role
    • Experience administrating systems in a fully remote environment a plus
  • Desktop, Helpdesk, and Cloud support expertise
  • Experience working with a ticketing system
  • Experience with onboarding and offboarding
  • Ability to solve technical problems quickly and efficiently
  • Experience in working with remote conferencing tools
  • Systems Experience
    • Microsoft Suite (O365) and Azure Administration
    • SharePoint Administration
    • Jira Administration a plus
    • SQL working knowledge a plus
