Main Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor in pre-sales engagements with nonprofit organizations.
  • Seek to understand clients’ challenges, programs, fundraising goals, and data needs — and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions.
  • Lead client-facing conversations, including nonprofit program managers, fundraisers, IT teams, and C-level executives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders from the Sales, Services, and Marketing teams.
  • Identify and understand project scope, requirements, and potential risks while supporting high-level architecture and level of effort estimates.
  • Support creation of pre-sales deliverables, including discovery summaries, demo orgs, and solution diagrams.
  • Design and deliver custom, high-impact Salesforce demonstrations tailored to nonprofit use cases.
  • Manage multiple pre-sales efforts concurrently, supporting both net-new and existing clients in partnership with Account Executives.
  • Engage with Salesforce.org and ISV partners to align tools and apps that meet nonprofit-specific needs.
  • Contribute to responses for RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives such as webinars, blog posts, and events.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong experience across the Salesforce platform, including Nonprofit Cloud, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
  • Prior experience in a Sales Engineer, Solution Architect, or Salesforce implementation consultant role.
  • Deep understanding or strong interest in the nonprofit sector, including fundraising, grantmaking, program delivery, volunteer engagement, and impact measurement.
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to translate nonprofit needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience building or demonstrating Salesforce orgs for nonprofits.
  • Salesforce certifications preferred (particularly Nonprofit Cloud, Admin, and Sales Cloud).
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills.
  • Comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Passion for social impact and a commitment to empowering organizations to do more good
