Human Resources Business Partner in the USA or Canada

Cloud for Good’s Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing HR leadership in a variety of areas, including supporting and retaining top Salesforce talent to join our growing team and partnering with our senior leadership team to provide HR guidance through policies and coaching/ mentoring. The HR Business Partner will support people planning, compensation and benefits strategy, and Diversity and Inclusion efforts. The HR Business Partner will connect teams at Cloud for Good across onboarding, learning, and performance management to maximize staff experience and engagement.  

Primary Duties / Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the development, implementation, and execution of Human Resources activities including, but not limited to, compensation and benefits strategy, talent and performance management, and employment law compliance 
  • Provide day to day performance management guidance to managers through coaching/mentoring, policy interpretation, and manager / employee support 
  • Provide leadership and consultation on onboarding and learning experiences, people management, staff engagement, company policy, and Diversity & Inclusion commitments, in addition to other HR-related areas  
  • Partner with key leaders – Executive team, Managing Directors, Directors – to develop and support proactive HR solutions in hiring, learning, and performance management 
  • Manage relationships with US and Canadian Professional Employer Organizations and their insurers and vendors to ensure excellent employee experience, benefits, and administration  
  • Directly manage and resolve complex employee relations topics, including but not limited to leaves administration, in partnership with P&O, our PEO partners, and the management team  
  • Write, deliver, and field candidate or employee questions on offer letters and employment agreements for new hires, promotions, and employee changes 
  • Maintain and report on compliant and accurate recordkeeping and reporting for all employee data and all phases of employee life cycle using Cloud for Good’s and our PEOs’ suite of systems and tools, and in accordance with company policy and local, state, and federal laws 
  • Communicate and reinforce Cloud for Good’s mission, values, and vision 
 

Qualifications:  

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience required 
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred 
  • Experience in high growth, fast-paced work settings; remote-work experience ideal 
  • Working knowledge of employee relations and employment law 
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with remote teams and across  
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively, proactively, and seamlessly amongst diverse teams and partners 
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to present to executives at the highest levels, both internally and externally, and to support employees from entry-level through senior 
  • Strong communications skills – both written and verbal – ability to communicate effectively to both internal and external audiences 
  • Highly organized, with strong time management skills and attention to detail 
  • Tech savvy and the ability to become proficient in a variety of technological platforms 
  • Experience in, and aptitude for, working to support or lead D&I initiatives 
  • Able to work independently with little direction  
  • Reliable and dependable, able to work as part of a diverse team  
  • Resourceful, enthusiastic, and professional  
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented 
  • Knowledge of Salesforce preferred
