Account Executive – Student Success in the USA or Canada

Cloud for Good is seeking an exceptional industry expert to join our growing team as Student Success focused Account Executive. This is a unique opportunity to blend industry expertise and high performance with a focus on supporting technology transformation with higher education organizations across North America.

As the Account Executive – Student Success, you will be an expert on our team, responsible for supporting sales and go to market efforts focus on the full lifecycle of our clients’ Student Success needs.  This includes support of our clients throughout the entire Salesforce implementation journey including (but not limited to) initial client outreach, needs identification, qualification, solutioning support, presentation, proposal support, contracting, and post-sales support/account management.  This role will report to the Director of Sales – Higher Education.

Location: Virtual, home office in United States

Work Authorization: Citizens or Permanent Resident of USA. Cannot provide Visa sponsorship.

Travel: Up to 25%

Skills, Qualifications, and Education Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Student Success industry expertise either directly from higher education or in direct support of Student Success with higher education clients
  • Knowledge of industry trends and competitive solutions
  • Strong relationships and experience with key Student Success leadership
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success in Student Success advocacy and/or pre-sales efforts – ideally with large and complex colleges and universities
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Ability to successfully operate in high growth, fast-paced organization
  • Proactive mindset and work approach
  • Consistent over-achievement of goals and objectives with past roles
  • Experience calling on or interfacing with C-suite and key executives within a customer’s organization
  • Strong operational and analytical abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary sales expert and industry lead on any Student Success related pre-sales opportunities and projects, which can include applicable Student Enrollment based use cases as well.
  • Qualify and understand client challenges, current and future business processes, and organizational needs
  • Actively reach out to and identify new prospective clients and opportunities
  • Support Sales team through the full lifecycle of opportunities which are created, and participate as a key member of the CFG opportunity team
  • Additionally, work in strong collaboration with other teams including Services, Marketing, Partnerships/Go-to-Market, etc.
  • Provide active support for current and future go to market development for higher education industry
  • Thoroughly support the entire lifecycle of the sales process, including both customer-facing and internal activities
  • Create and execute a business plan focused around Student Success; to maximize revenue generated, overachieve on influenced revenue, and create lifelong client relationships
  • Be accountable to measures and metrics including successful overachievement of team sales quotas and goals, sales pipeline generation, forecast accuracy, etc.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with Salesforce sales partners across the industry and organization
  • Successfully and consistently support multiple opportunities with varying complexities from start to finish.
  • Develop and deliver compelling client presentations
  • Strong support of RFP processes and strategic sales approaches with clients
  • Develop and maintain key customer relationships
  • Support creation and delivery of Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Be a role model for Cloud for Good’s culture and values
