About the Role
The Leader of People Strategy will be a key leader in shaping Cloud for Good’s overall workforce strategy, driving people-focused initiatives across the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the CFAO, this role will be to oversee and provide strategic direction for core areas including Talent Acquisition, Culture & Engagement, and HR Operations, supporting approximately 250 employees and scaling these functions as we grow through both organic expansion and acquisitions.
This position will lead today’s established teams while building new areas of expertise for the future. We are seeking a leader who is entrepreneurial, proactive, and skilled at leveraging others. Experience operating in investor–backed organizations and managing a global workforce—particularly with experience in Canada and India—is important.

The Leader of People Strategy will partner with senior leaders to define a clear vision, strategy, and direction for the People function, bringing a strong point of view, the ability to build compelling business cases, and the drive to influence and lead the next phase of our growth.

Location: Virtual: Home-based office in the US or Canada. CST/EST Preferred.

You will be responsible for the following:
- Define and lead the Global People Strategy — Develop a clear vision and roadmap that aligns people initiatives with business goals (vision tree), ensuring scalability for future growth.
- Collaborate with established leaders across HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Employee Experience to provide strategic guidance, serve as an escalation point, and approve key deliverables—ensuring alignment with overall people strategy while empowering the teams to manage day-to-day execution.
- Build trusted relationships and manage executive, leadership and all staff stakeholders — partner closely with executives and leadership to foster open communication, credibility, and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
- Manage a global workforce HR function — Oversee HR strategy for both U.S. and Canada employees, ensuring compliance with local laws and alignment with company culture, as well as partner with HR team members in India and future global expansions to ensure a strong and compliant employee experience.
Culture & Engagement Oversight
- Partner with the Employee Experience Lead to shape the vision and strategic direction for engagement programs, ensuring they evolve to enhance our virtual workplace and strengthen an inclusive, connected culture.
- Provide strategic oversight of the annual employee engagement survey process, including approach, launch, analysis, and follow-up action planning.
- Provide strategy and direction for the planning and execution of Cloud for Good’s annual Summit.
- Serve as an advisor and participant in CFG’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, ensuring alignment with overall people strategy.
Human Resources Oversight
- Partner with the HR Lead and Generalist team to set the strategic direction, vision, and priorities for core HR programs, including talent and workforce planning, performance and development, total rewards, compliance and policies, and HR infrastructure.
- Provide strategic oversight in partnership with the HR Lead the benefits strategy and policy direction, ensuring compliance with U.S. and Canadian regulations and alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide strategic oversight of vendor relationships in the U.S. and Canada, ensuring partners deliver value and support the company’s people strategy.
Talent Acquisition Oversight
- In partnership with the Director of Talent Acquisition, set the strategic vision for talent acquisition, ensuring recruitment efforts align with business priorities, culture, and long-term workforce needs.
- Partner with the Director of Talent Acquisition to shape sourcing, selection, and employer brand strategies that attract and retain top talent.
- Provide high-level guidance and oversight to ensure the TA function delivers consistent, values-driven candidate experience.
Mergers & Acquisitions HR Strategy & Integration
- Set the People strategy and integration roadmap for both organic and inorganic growth, ensuring alignment with CFG’s long-term people and business objectives.
- Lead due diligence and project management for M&A activity, assessing risks, identifying integration needs, and developing actionable transition plans for the People function.
- Oversee the strategic design of onboarding, systems, and cultural integration for acquired teams, ensuring a smooth and cohesive employee experience.
A competitive candidate for this role will have:
- At least 10 years of progressive experience, including 7+ years in People leadership positions overseeing core pillars such as HR Operations, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Employee Experience & Culture, Global People Strategy, HR tech stacks, performance management, and talent planning.
- Excellent judgment, self-awareness, and an action-oriented approach, with the ability to think ahead, anticipate challenges, and proactively address issues before they escalate.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain transparency and proactively communicate with leadership, ensuring issues, risks, and emerging challenges are flagged early, discussed openly, and addressed in alignment with organizational priorities.
- A collaborative leadership style that leverages the strengths of their team for execution.
- Experience with managing large scale projects with multiple timelines, workflows and stakeholders Project planning and stakeholder management and oversight is a MUST
- Strong executive presence and communication skills, capable of influencing and engaging individuals, teams, and the broader organization.
- Strategic thinking, prioritization, and organizational skills to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience leading in fast-paced, virtual, high-growth environments
- Experience leading M&A projects, with strong project management skills to coordinate complex timelines, workflows, and stakeholder groups.
- Background in consulting or technology industries (Salesforce ecosystem experience a plus).
