Cloud for Good is seeking an exceptional sales leader to join the team as our Director of Sales to launch our State and Local practice. The Director will be responsible for setting and executing Cloud for Good’s sales strategy for our consulting services in the Public Sector. This leader will assume responsibility for the company’s State and Local sales goals, as well building and growing a team of experienced account executives to help drive Cloud for Good’s growth in this sector. The Director will report to the CRO.
Successful candidates will be highly experienced in selling Salesforce solutions within State and Local, exhibit senior strategic sales and go-to-market leadership skills, and have a track record of building and leading high performance teams who regularly achieve exceptional quota attainment.
Location: Virtual, home office in the USA

Skills, Qualifications, and Education Requirements:
- Senior Sales leadership: Minimum of first-line leadership experience leading sales teams responsible for selling Salesforce services. Leader of leaders is a plus.
- State and Local GTM Strategy and Sales:
- Proven track record in leading high-performance sales teams in this industry
- Proven track record in building State and Local GTM strategy, including assets, POVs, channel strategy, etc.
- Strong leadership skills in both vision and execution
- 5+ years technology professional services sales within the Salesforce ecosystem
- Extensive experience working with Salesforce’s State and Local leadership
- Some level of “scrappiness” and interest in rolling up your sleeves to execute sales work
- Ability and comfort operating in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
- Ability to lead simultaneous initiatives in an entrepreneurial culture
- Consistent over-achievement of quota and revenue goals
- Strong operational and analytical abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong, proactive leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
Main Responsibilities:
- Partner with the CRO to set and execute a GTM and customer acquisition strategy, and generate annual growth in bookings for our cross-cloud Salesforce services business in the State and Local industry
- Carry direct sales quota until the State and Local industry is established within Cloud for Good
- Be accountable for all Sales aspects of the Cloud for Good Sales State and Local team, including strategy, quotas and goals, pipeline, processes, and team enablement
- Build and cultivate relationships with Salesforce sales organization, including leadership, and develop and execute on strategic GTM channel strategies
- Work in close partnership with our internal Services, Alliances, and Marketing teams.
- Be responsible for leading/overseeing pre-sales motion with Sales, Solution Engineering, and Services team members including activities such as scoping, visioning, and preparing high-level pitches.
- Executive/deal sponsorship on key deals strategically positioned to contribute to the State and Local practice’s growth
- Drive RFP processes and strategic sales approaches with clients and prospects
- Foster and maintain key customer relationships
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting to the CRO
- Set appropriate metrics for sales pipeline generation and sales funnel management, track progress, and manage team to desired outcomes
- Participate, as part of the Senior Leadership Team, in setting and managing the overall growth and strategic direction of Cloud for Good
- Uphold and take responsibility for Cloud for Good’s high performance sales culture
- Participate in the performance management process through goal setting and performance reviews for managed staff
- Position the business to grow successfully beyond its current targets, year over year
- Be a role model for Cloud for Good’s culture and values

- Travel Requirements
- All roles at Cloud for Good include a travel component. Business travel—both domestic and international—may be required based on project and client needs. The amount of travel will vary by role but is generally expected to be up to 20% annually. Travel is considered an essential part of this position and supports effective client engagement, collaboration, and company representation.

Collaboration takes place across Zoom, Office 365, Salesforce, and Slack during standard business hours (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone).
