Soulsville Foundation preserves, promotes, and celebrates the many unique cultural assets of the Soulsville, USA neighborhood of Memphis, while supporting the development of new educational and community-building opportunities for its residents and stakeholders.

Challenges

  • Was using Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge – a complex system that limited their fundraising abilities and had zero flexibility;
  • Sought a system that could house information for Stax Museum, Stax Music Academy, and The Soulsville Charter School in one place, as the information had been previously unwieldy and not centralized;
  • Wanted to streamline and organize the donation, grant, and Museum Membership processes;
  • Sought a system that could adapt as the Foundation and its needs grow.

Solution

Cloud for Good’s fundraising package consolidated Soulsville’s in-kind and cash donations and grants into one place. “Consequentially all our payment, deadline, and reporting information is in one place and can be reported on with just a few clicks,” said Mark Wender, COO of Soulsville.

In less than five weeks Cloud for Good completed Soulsville’s implementation, including the discovery phase, design, customization, data migration from Raiser’s Edge, and training for key staff.

Results

All leads, donations, organizations, and Museum Members are tracked, organized, and centralized in one system, allowing the Foundation team more efficiency and effectiveness in proper communication with each constituent.

The Soulsville Foundation can now easily track all of their supporters’ attendance and donations at all the concerts and events Soulsville has become known for.

The Foundation has the flexibility to add functionality to the Salesforce system as the team and the needs grow.
