Cloud for Good strives to be the leading Salesforce consulting partner to nonprofits and higher education institutions. We pride ourselves on listening to our clients needs and creating Salesforce solutions that meet those needs. We are pleased to announce that we have created two nonprofit applications, the Constituent Interest and Preference Management App and the Badges App, to help your organization maximize its investment in Salesforce.

The ability to track the interests and/or preferences of constituents, whether that be in the areas of program focus, types of advocacy alert, or volunteer opportunities where their constituents express an interest has been requested by our clients. Neither Salesforce ‘out of the box’ nor the Nonprofit Success Pack provides this functionality, which is why we have built standard components that our customers can use for this type of tracking.

The Interest-selection functionality has been built as a component that can be dropped into either a Contact or a Household record page, allowing users to update the record without leaving the page. We took it a step further and created a tool to allow you to bulk add or remove interests from Contacts or Households. For example, you can tag everyone who lives in New York with a particular interest. Perform a quick search, select all or a subset of the records returned, and add the interest to their profile. Utilizing Salesforce reporting and segmentation tools allows you to use these Interests for mailing lists, campaigns and other types of outreach.

We also created the Badges App to show personalized visualizations that alert, inform and engage each of your end users. These visual representations provide your Salesforce users with key information, instantly, at a glance. You can easily highlight your major donors, volunteers, VIPs, and other special constituent types with these visual indicators located at the top of your records. Your organization can create custom badges on Contacts and Accounts with criteria defined by you. For example, you can design a badge that easily lets you see Contacts and Accounts that have given over $5,000.

The Badges App is compatible with Salesforce Classic and the Lightning Experience. Badges will help your staff quickly process important information about your Contacts and Accounts. The Badges App can be used in conjunction with the Cloud for Good Interests App to visually flag contacts with specific interests or preferences, letting your Salesforce users see which constituents have expressed interest in activities that you may track with Cloud for Good Interests.

Contact us today to get started with our newest nonprofit applications, the Interests and Badges Apps. All of your Salesforce users will be glad you did!

Thank you for asking about the Interests App. You are correct that it is available in Lightning only.
